It is dependent on the patient. We all react differently to different pain meds. Fentanyl is a very strong pain medication used on cancer patients. It comes in a lollipop form and also a patch. All narcotic pain meds are highly addictive and should only be used short term. They are also very hard on the liver and you should have liver function tests done if you are on them for a long period of time. So, the bottom line is, there is no ONE pain med that is THE strongest. There are a whole line of meds that would fall into that category but it varies for each patient.

ordering drugs online can cut costs considerably. A Consumer Reports study found that savings can reach 25% or more.
The key, experts say, is to shop around and to stay away from the often pricey sites that offer to sell "lifestyle" drugs such as Viagra and Propecia without a visit to your doctor's office. Those sites can charge as much as double the usual cost of such drugs.

Don't forget to include shipping expenses in your online prescription comparisons. Although the cost of delivery by standard mail is nominal at many sites, and free at others, it can become quite expensive if you need overnight delivery.
Generic drugs are less expensive because generic manufacturers don't have the investment costs of the developer of a new drug. New drugs are developed under patent protection. The patent protects the investment--including research, development, marketing, and promotion--by giving the company the sole right to sell the drug while it is in effect. As patents near expiration, other manufacturers can apply to the FDA to sell generic versions. Because those manufacturers don't have the same development costs, they can sell their product at substantial discounts. Also, once generic drugs are approved, there is greater competition, which keeps the price down. Today, almost half of all prescriptions are filled with generic drugs.

Plain old ordinary aspirin.

There's also marijuana, but that's not generally available anyway.

Your own body produces endorphines and other morphine--like substances. Rub your knuckles along your spine, to activiate them.

Sex works for a while.

Also, try to mentally or physically make the pain WORSE. When you do that, the pain--sending messengers stop sending their pain messages. They overload and shut down. {this is a zen Buddhist trick, which has medical confirmation. Also the physiological basis of BDSM}

When you say with prescription you really haven't defined for what. If you had cancer, you can get a prescription for morphine. If you had a sore foot... you might get vicodin.. or tylenol :)
