Politicians don't wanna act now. Why? Because they don't want the 70 to 80% of Americans who oppose ILLegals to know where they stand on this issue. They wanna sit back till AFTER the election and then Shove some BS immigration bill down our throats. Don't buy into it VOTE the Bastards out this November. If there Unwilling to commit to a STRONG immigration bill NOW then they shouldn't be in office AFTER this November. Remember 70 to 80% of Americans WANT SERIOUS Immigration reform. None if this Slap on the wrist here's your citizen BS being proposed by Politicians now.l VOTE THEM OUT.

The country will be little changed. It will continue to be populated with every race, every creed and every economic disparity that exist now. We will speak every language on earth as well as English. All that will be different is, the overall population will have increased to around three hundred forty million inhabitants. Do not listen to self-serving politicians rant and rave about illegal immigration - it's been going on for as long as there's been a United States of America. It is absolutely NOT one of the major, urgent issues that face us today. It is, rather, a convenient smokescreen for those self-same politicians to hide behind and pretend they're doing honest work. In fact, if you could take all the work all the politicans have done in the past hundred years and put it in one place, you would not have enough to fill a seamstress's thimble! Compared to that, the amount of bull they've slung would top Everest a thousand times over!

Yes we should act, but the racist way that people in America think it should happen is wrong. I support letting Mexican National come here, live, work, etc. They are not taking jobs from American's. The jobs were available because lazy, greedy American will not work the jobs they are willing to do for the mimimun wage this coutnry has set. Who the hell can live off of $7.15 an hour in a city where a 1br apt cost $700? American's just won't do it. They will cause they were brought to learn to live with nothing and they come here as family, friends, and neighbors of America to see a better life. Why can't America see that? Why do they shut them out when they are not the one's blowing up our building and killing our people? America has become greedy, selfish, and hateful towards anyone who they think does not belong here. Well Christopher Columbus is the person who never had a right to be here. Why can't America love all people? Share this great land that we have with others and help others. Stop invading their countries and killing children.

Your question is irrelevant because nothing will be done – not this year, next year, or ever. The situation benefits government leaders and business owners in both countries. Besides, we couldn’t get a 100,000 people out of New Orleans. What do you think the chances are of rounding up 12,000,000 who don’t want to be found and stopping another 1,000,000 / year who are still coming?

Anyone who votes for a candidate or political party based on promises of immigration reform should be legally declared “too stupid to vote”.

Our first act should be to vote out of office all incumbents because it is through their proved lack of enforcement that we have this issue. They've ALL been in office and are ALL responsible, regardless of party.

well, if we do not enforce it we may be using sentences like no comprendez? or comment allez vous! in the future. Think about it, most illegals do not even appear to want to learn our language here. When in Rome do as the Romans do!

Who is we? If you still think we can get the government to do something we'll be waiting forever. The federal government anyway. I think this is something that will have to be fought town by town, and by cities and states individually until we start seeing major results from all our collective efforts.
