I know that I have already given this answer to another question like yours-- but I think it could possibly work

The first thing we have to do is to secure the borders. Anything will help. The National Guard time should be paid by the Federal Government but I do not trust Congress to even fund this program. I see a those against using troops to secure the borders an excuse to say yes do it but do not fund it. Thereby they can say they support the idea but provide no means to pay for the ides so that this idea can not be performed properly. The military has equipement that is not always available to the civilian world. They are trained in the use and can provide a much better identification of people crossing the border. Once we get trained civilians to use this same equipment and Congress provide funding to buy it our border patrol could monitor more area. Then as new guards are put into service they can allow the cutback of National Guard. My feeling is for the next decade do all the two week trainings along the border to help supplement the border. As the full time people are removed enhance with the required 2 week training and support also the weekend training have some time near the border to help cover the border when the number of people watching the border is the lowest.
If you need flight training use the night flying to monitor the border at the same time as getting in required flying hours. Make the border a training ground until people respect our borders.

Note to the person wanting to know how many miles---

The border's total length is 1,951 miles (3,141 km), according to figures given by the International Boundary and Water Commission.[1] It is the most frequently crossed international border in the world, with some 350 million people crossing (legally) every year.[2]

They should ALL be deported. I'm Honestly getting Sick and Tired of people saying we can't deport 11 million people. Well Not only can we but WE WILL. If they have no more respect for our nations laws than to simply walk right in they don't deserve to be here. This NOVEMBER our ILLEGAL friends will see ALOT of there Allies in Washington Loose there jobs because of there support for Illegals. And when there Pro Illegal friends are voted out and replaced with ANTI's we will start to send there Butts Home One Bus load or one plane load at a time till the job is done.

Deportation is expensive and not logistically sound. How in the world would you round up 11 million people and sent them back to South America,China and other places where they came from? You can't. Not possible. Won't happen. The best solution would be to go after employers, who hire illegals, with fines if they don't help an illegal employee become legal to work here within 6 months of hiring them.

First of all to help the fact for the first answer. There are 11+ million Mexicans in this country. Yes I agree secure the border to help keep terrorist out. The ones that are here and have been here working a legitimate job and not selling drugs and have no criminal history should beab;e to stay. If there are selling drugs or hurting people then yes they need to go home. For the law abiding ones working to make a better life, give them a way to be here. For one's here more than five years this is much of all they know now. Give worker permits, give them a right to go to school and learn English (even though English is not this countries official Language. Our country is labeled the land of the free, but that is not the freedom to treat people like animals. Most of the people here are immigrants. It may not have been you, or your mother or even grandparents, but at one point in your family history a person crossed in to this country and they were your family. The only people that were here long ago were the native americans and Mexicans are more closely related to native american than any other race. We should not be a hateful country, but a helpful one.

We need to have more immigrants be allowed to enter legally so that business and therefore their puppets in Congress will be satisfied.

We also need to make sure that everyone that is already here ILLEGALLY be sent back even if it takes a hundred years. Once gone these people should never be allowed back because we do not reward criminals.

Hmmm...We can't seem to find Bin Laden, so I seriously doubt that we'll be able to round up all of them...

Here's a thought though...Build the superfence...electrical fencing, barb wire, the works...Granted some of them will still make it across,...but not all of them...

Now, on our side of the fence...Army recruiting stations, as opposed to a sign directing you to the welfare office, to greet our newcomers...You made it! Welcome to America! Here's your job! Congratulations! You're going to fight the war!
