But you can choose who to love and what to do about it. That's freewill.

You have freewill to do what you will for yourself. However if you wish to choose who loves you that takes freewill away from that person. Since everyone has freewill that is just not a choice that you can make.

The person who chooses to love you(uses their free- will) and you can choose to love them back or not( your free will). Of course people always want to impose their wills on others, but you do not have to let them( you are free, and it does not matter what the circumstances you are under-culture,parents etc).
Someone can physically and emotionally enslave you( e.g .slavery, cultural beliefs, religious beliefs, etc) BUT they cannot control what you believe and who you are. The only person who can force your free-will is Jesus Christ( but he does not, at least not now, and that is why you see people destroy others and themselves, and God does not intervene)
On the other hand, to be totally free (despite being restricted by people, environment, culture, society, governments, religion, peers, etc) one needs to give control of their lives to Jesus Christ, who will then teach you how to navigate through life without feeling you are bound

IF you could exercise your free will over someone else's then that person would not have his.
Free will cannot be transferred. It is contained within.
You can only choose whom YOU love. Free will is not a Free Pass.

You shouldn't want to encroach upon the free will of others by choosing if they love you or not. This takes away their free will, their choice and that's totally wrong. You wouldn't want to force someone to love you would you?

Good question! However, everyone has free will. Therefore, both parties must be using their free will for the same purpose of loving you and loving them to work.
