Dear Challen,
Actually the church age is over! From what the Bible tells us, it appears that 1988 was when the Holy Spirit departed from all the local congregations. Satan (the man of sin) is now ruling there as we are told in 2 Thessalonians 2. Remember that Judgement BEGINS at the house of God (1 Peter 4:17). The reason that the Lord left the churches is because they had set up "high places" within themselves. These high places were not the idols as Ashtoreth or Baal like the Old Testament Israel, they were laws that were conceived out of the minds of men instead of the Holy Scriptures. These "pastors" (see Jeremiah 23) were saying thus saith the Lord and the Lord did not say those things. Therefore, just as God brought judgment on Judah in 587 B.C. because of their disobedience, so God has brought judgment on the churches. If you are still in a local congregation, you are under the wrath of God! Please read Revelation 18! I cannot give you info due to lack of space, but chech out the website that I have listed at the bottom. I hope this helps you.

You people ho believe can't even grasp the concept of Atheism.
I've read parts(big parts, but still far from the entire thing) of the bible and I have came to the conclusion that many of the things in there are pure fiction, or better put "lies". So if the bible is the word of God and His words are lies the only logical explanation is the ones that wrote it weren't prophets but instead delusional individuals who saw what they wanted to see. Further more I see things in the world around me, nearly daily, that prove to me there is no God. Some say He's dead I think he never existed.
You believers need Him, you cry out for help when you know no one else can help you, you call for guidance when you face a choice that surpass your power of decision, even when it is clear to you what you must do you call to Him to give you the strength to do it. You go by his laws in hope you get in paradise something far better then you can ever achieve in this life.God is the sum of human weaknesses,
You think being an atheist is just ignorant bliss? Think again, I undoubtedly have my weaknesses as every human being, there are times that I wish there was someone I could call to for help, but I KNOW there isn't anyone. We must all Cary the burden of ower own difficulties in life no one else can do it for us not God not Jesus and no guardian angels. That's my belief.
Can I be wrong about this? Yes I can. Will I burn in hell if I am? probably but that is a risk I MUST take. and going to church "just in case" goes against everything I stand for.
I am an Atheist and that's my belief. I respect the beliefs of others. Now can they respect mine?

I don't know why people go to church on Sunday or any day for that fact. I go to church on Sunday at 10:00 am and i enjoy it so much, it gives me a boost for the rest of the week. We have a good time, our pastor is great not boring at all. We sing to raise our voices to the Lord God so he can hear us, we pray to him so he can come into our life's and bless us, we give tithe so he can continue on . I wish every one could find a church that they liked maybe they would go more often. here is our web site check it out, you have nothing to lose only gain-- iWorshipCenter.org Good Luck my friends. Let me know what you think. nieceofmissourifats@yahoo.com

if u belive in god and have faith then why go to church. as long as your living your life the best you can. why should i waste 2 hours a sunday to go be bored with someone ireally care not to listen to. i can read the bible if i have questions i'll ask somebody. church is alot of fun for some people but others just can not get into it. if going to church was a requirerment to go to heaven don't you think god would have made it more appealing to people?

What if there is no eternity? Then you just wasted 1/7 of your life, time you could have spent enjoying your short time on earth. You don't know what happens until you die. Precautions? How do you know people that go to church aren't going to Hell?

And spoil my day off work listening to a jerk who is trying to brainwash me? And wake up early to listen to someone who is going to tell me to believe without proof, so the institution he's speaking on behalf of, gets to own my life, and to manipulate me with fear of a deity that doesn't exist and guilt for things that are wrong just because they say they are? And become a sheep who will obey to everything every single priest, or politician tells them to do, because they train me to accept without complaining, and then they use the same behavioural pattern in politics?
Oh, no, sir! I do most certainly not think so, thank you very much!!!
BTW, I always thought religion was about actually believing in God, not about going there to church, "just because"! What kind of a Christian are you?

So, why not go to a Mosque and a Synagogue, too. Just to be safe. There are way to many religions to hedge your bet by choosing one for safety. And wouldn't the almighty god know that your belief wasn't based on true love of him but because you were just playing it safe?

The Lord knows our hearts and we cannot pretend to believe on the "better safe than sorry" principle. Going to church is a start, but you must believe in the Lord with all of your heart and live a life that is pleasing to the Lord. Going to the right church will help you believe in the Lord whole heartily.

Because belief in a god "just in case" is extremely stupid. I refuse to worship some invisible father figure in the sky because I'm afraid he'll strike me down with lightning. All shall tremble before the legions of the Invisible Pink Unicorn (bbhhh)!

Cuz i feel that it is a big waste of time Peaching to me when i don't believe in GOD. Reading in a Bible is not gonna make me believe more in god than i already do.
