What holds your attention still? For me this was my husbands warm and caring heart, his love for God, his ability to listen and care and his love and talent for music.

I've been married for 6 years now, and I love my husband more than ever. He still makes my heart jump when he walks into the door from work every night, and I would have nobody else in my life. He makes me smile, and he challenges my thinking, and he's not bad on the eyes, either. He's the strongest man I know. He's my rock in the storm, and I love him with all my heart.

I never really thought there was such a thing as "love at first sight" till I met my husband. I wasn't looking for anyone, yet when I saw him and looked into his eyes...I can still see the same thing after 7 months of marriage. I knew I could trust him. Is he perfect? No, neither am I! But we love each other and know that God brought us together (another story for another day). It was love at first sight for him too. But we both refused to acknowledge it for nearly 3 months and God had to turn events so we knew we were meant to be together! :) We are totally in love with each other and committed till death!

What attracted me more than 37 years ago, and still holds me, is his quirky sense of humor, his patience (especially with me!), his intelligence, reliability, loyalty, kindness and consideration. He loved and honored his parents. He works hard at a job he loves, but is not a workaholic. He doesn't drink, smoke, do drugs, cheat on me or abuse me in any way. He does way more than his share of the housework. He is the ideal mate for me.
Oh, yeah ... he's 6'5", about 165 lbs (he weighed 140 when we met!), has floppy brown hair, and beautiful blue eyes that crinkle at the corners, and a smile that still makes my heart do flip-flops!

What attracted me to my husband was him, his personality, his heart, he sence of humor and how persistant he was. He won be over with those, I'm not saying he is ungly or anything, its just that looks didn't matter to me. If you only go on looks, you are being closed minded and will never get what you actually want in a mate.

He knows everything about me and he still loves me. I don't think there are a lot of people out there that would be able to do that. He's intelligent, he doesn't like sports, he's not into any dangerous (or illegal) activities and he's generally a nice person. He's very attractive to me, but it's more than his looks that keep us together.

My husbands looks but right away by talking to him his heart was a big part. He has a warm, caring heart.

I am surprised to say that... exactly the same reasons you just wrote, I swear. He is a musician, an excellent one, a kind and loving person, and he believes in God, which is very important to me. He not only believes, but loves Him, just like you said. Wow, I think we are sharing the same man! (kidding)

his deep dark brown eyes, even after 16 yr they still make my heart melt.
OK this is what first attracted me it is his good heart brilliant mind, and caring nature that took the cake and makes it a joy to be his wife.
