I have a 27" crt INSIGNIA TV model number IS-TV040923 that has blocked channels. It asks for a v-chip password. I have tried to clear it but i am unable. I have called Best Buy where I purchased it and they are no help at all. I have called Insignia tech support but they won't help either because it has no warranty left. I know its a simple solution but I don't know it! I am tired of having several channels with the ugly blue screen!

try reading the manual... it probably comes with a temporary password that you have to change yourself

The temporary password for Insignia parental controls is "0000". If entering this does not disable it, you should contact Insignia customer support (1-877-467-4289) to see if there is any sort of factory reset option. The manual does not provide any options for resetting the password.
