What is his behaviour like?
He may just be attempted to communicate with you. Cats are not vocal animals by nature. Ferreal cats make no noise at all (unless they are in heat). Domestic cats meow because they know that humans make noise to communicate and they try to talk to us. ^_^ Cute huh?

My kitten chirps continually. even as i'm wrestling round with him and play scuffling with. He fluffs up and places his ears back and chirps. also even as he's hungry soliciting for nutrients he chirps. He meows each so often. frequently he appears like a touch fowl :). he's the most obdurate ingredient each so often. He gallops up and down the halls. i replaced into thinking taking away my cable because he's more interior of your means. My different cat chirps on social gathering too! i do not imagine you've something to be troubled about. He may improve out of it. may no longer. My 10 week kitten chirps ALOT

Hi there...cats will chirp whenever they see something very, very exciting. This is very common among all cats and more in younger kittens as they are very curious about many things. Here's a video of a cat chirping at the sight of squirrel. It's quite funny: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-747750070349019460&q=barking+cat

Hi cats do this when they are trying to hypnotise a bird or fly so they can catch it, Does he look at the wall when doing it or out the window, if he looks at the wall if there isnt a fly there then if could be a little black spek that he things is a fly. Other than that has he been neutered, because he could be calling for a mate and he will do this till you get him neutered and he will tend to spray in the house.

Does your kitten do this when looking at something it would like to get at? That's what they do. My cats chirp and chatter at birds and squirrels they can see out the windows. They're just enjoying themselves!

We have three cats and they tend to do this when watching the birds in the garden. It's almost as if they are trying to attract the birds to get them to come closer ! They will also sit and "talk" to us if we talk to them ! Most cats are usually quite happy in the company of us humans and therefore will make attempts to talk to us their just being sociable !

kittens and even elderly cats chirp like birds, some more than others, and especially if they're watching birds or insects! they also chirp when they greet you or another cat they're friends with. Or even to the dog if you have one! Cats chirp. That's it!

MY cat makes the stupidest noises! just kinda yaps and makes weird "meeeeeeeeeeeeeehhhh" sounds. I suppose as a kitten it was bird-like!
Was he taken from the mother early? Mine was and I don't think that he was developed enough, and so just does what he can.
