My sister inlaw is a big pain in the ***, she wants to be in control of all the family get togethers, then plays the Martyr role so everyone feels bad for her. Stuck up isnt the word for her, not even on Yahoo answers can I say how I truly feel about her. I try to keep my distance but they all have a very strong family tie. There have been times where I could have and should have called her out and embarrass the crap out of her. I believe my wife is afraid of her. I need advice?

you know that is really sad.... if your wife and her sister have a very strong bond then you should not try to step on that... just remember she doesn't control you.... you do... let her be arrogant and selfrighteous i would bet your not the only one in the family to feel that way about her .... just sit back and laugh and let her think shes the greatest...........you know the truth.............

If she is having the get together in her home, then she should be in charge of everything. But if the get togethers are being held in other homes and not hers then someone should tell her politely to sit back and enjoy the gathering. If that is something that she cannot do then make sure that all the gatherings are held at her home and everyone relax and let her do her thing. Eventually she will get the picture.

I tell you what I will do .. I will give you my sister in law in trade for yours. They are both equally unbalanced and evil so I have to give you a warning in advance.

Hugs from a Loving Mom to a Brilliant, as well as beautiful 8 year old Jared and Our Angel, Zachary (taken to soon but who will always remain in our heart) ~ Mel

We dumped our EVIL half-sister-in-law 23 years ago. Life has been so good without her. Never heard from her again after we called her out.

My advice is to call her out, and let the chips fall where they will.

If she doesnt say anything to offend you or your wife, then dont say anything to her and just keep your distance from her, but if she does cross the line with you, then you tell her about her ***. Thats what i did with my ex-boyfriends mother.
