I rarely drink,but when I do--even if it is 2 beers or 1 glass of wine...my face turns red and I get a nasty headache.

Depends on when it happens, if you mean right away then maybe you have an allergy to alcohol. If you mean a hangover its because alcohol dehydrates the body and you should drink a couple of glasses of water before you go to bed.

I used to get headache when I drink on a empty stomach, Make sure you eat before drinking, this might help.

Alcohal constricts your blood vessels. This is why people often say hard liquor "warms" them.
If that weren't likely enough cause for a headache, alcohal also causes you to dehydrate, which is usually the cause of hangovers. If you know you're going to be drinking, refraining from using nicotine (or other stimulants) and drinking some water before hand may help ease the headaches.

well lets look at this scenario alcohol is a poison you are just more sensitive to it than most drink it more often an you will become more desensitized to it

You could actually have an alcohol allergy, no kidding. I can't hold alcohol either. Anyway you are better off not having it anyway, it poisons the body. Have some sparkling grape juice if you are having a party and don't want to feel left out.

alergy , don't drink!! You are lucky nothing worse has happened. If you want to be sure your doctor can test you.
