Depends on how many cats you have. For one cat, I highly recommend Tidy Cat crystals. You won't have to buy litter at all for an entire month. You just scoop solid wastes daily, and stir the crystals. At the end of the month, dump, clean, and pour new stuff in.

For multiple cats, I'd recommend a crystals blend of sorts. Whether it be tidy cat or otherwise (tidy cat being my favorite... seems to keep odors down the most). I dont' recommend a clumping litter (unless your cat is not a kitten) because clumping litter can lead to problems down the road.

HA! to the guy who stated dustbuster. You ve by no skill experienced this. Kitty clutter - fairly the clumping sort - turns to concrete while it gets moist after which dries. "gently use a putty knife" won t paintings, and neither will cleansing soap and a sponge. a pair of people have been given it precise - you should get it moist lower back to get it off, yet even then it s no longer lots exciting. a minimum of mine is in a room the place there's a floor drain - my cat packing bins are interior the laundry room, and the washing gadget leaks. What a multitude! I ought to handle this interest the following day and that i'm rather, rather no longer looking forward to it.

I use fresh step scoop? I think... lol. I know it a clumping litter. The box is purple with a sleeping kitty on the front. I get it at Petsmart. Shows you how much I pay attention. :(

If it's for a kitten, just don't get the clumping litter. If the kitten gets some on it's paws and licks it, the litter will clump in it's body and can cause all sorts of problems.

I use Tidy Cat Long lasting... the red cap. The best I've found is Tidy Cat crystals... blue cap. There's not alot of dust involved with that one. Of course... more expensive.

I have found Arm & Hammer to work the best for me. It clumps really well and keep odors at bay and there isn't an awful amount of dust.
