On April 20th, at around 11:30 in the morning, Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold walked into Columbine High School in suburban Littleton, Colorado, armed with pipe bombs and at least seven guns...And then at last they reached a bright–eyed seventeen–year–old named Cassie Bernall.Either Harris or Klebold (none of the cowering students could see which it was) put a gun to her head and asked, "Do you believe in God?" She paused for a second, according to her classmates. And then she answered, "Yes." "She was scared, but she sounded strong," said her Bible–study friend Joshua Lapp, a sophomore who was hiding nearby, "like she knew what she was going to answer." Staring at her, the gunman asked, "Why?" Before she could reply, he pulled the trigger and shot her through the temple, killing her instantly.

I have always found Cassie's story inspiring. There was at least one other student who died for her faith in Christ that day(from what I have heard the killers asked the God question to several people that day), Rachel Scott. Her bio is one of the most awesome stories in the church! Read "Rachel's Tears."

First off if anybody wastes your time on a spelling fau paux, you can rest assured that they are not in the Spirit and I DO intend SPIRIT of the question asked! Hi, this question intrigues me very much; as; my eldest son looked at me; after columbine; and said, "I wish that was me, I'd tell them about my belief in the Lord". Now, as a Father - is that a suicide wish or an affirmation of faith? I know you are not ready for this: our sons, my wife Esther and I; were raised in a 'born again' Catholic church! Note the explanation mark, which is what I always receive when I tell people that. Yes, we had healing and everything. People spoke in tongues - my eldest son Christopher had
taken what he learned there in his oneness with the Lord and has now told me that he will be left at the 'rapture'; as the Lord has work for him to do. Soooooo you can look at this in any way you like, but I just raised my boys to know that I believed in an all knowing and loving, power-full God, what they took from it is between them and God. If I was asked if i believed in God; with a gun to my head; I can only say: "Deny me before men and I will deny you before My Father in Heaven".

On what are you seeking an opinion? You are describing a scenario that actually took place, so where does my or anyone else's opinion come into play here?

Are you asking whether I believe in God and will say so if there is a gun to my head? I will. To deny the creator of all things and the keeper of all souls in order to spare my tiny earthly life would be unspeakably pathetic and wrong.

This is a very brave thing that she did. According to the bible anyone who dies in the name of God shall have something special in the afterlife.

It is very possible that she would have died regardless of her answer. I think that it is good that she went out stating her true belief, rather than lying and possibly dying regardless.

I hope the killer was caught and found guilty, and asked the same question after a few seconds from electrocution, I wonder what his answer would be?

something traumatizing must've happened to them and the only person to blame was god, since they can't reach god, they killed the next thing, his followers....or they must've been one of those people who convert people or kill them.

They were angry and psychotic, probably blamed God and/or his followers and wanted to take it out on them.
