I've seen it go both ways. I know people personally who have used the internet, talked with the other person for months, finally met, and ended up MARRIED! They're happy, love each other truly, and life is good.

I've also met enough people on the opposite end to make me really cautious. :P There's a lot of people who say they are one person when really they're another. You don't know who is on the other side of the computer. Even if they have a photo up, they could've gotten it off someone else's profile or another site. I've had a friend meet a guy off the net and he ended up stalking her. It was weird.

I would just be very careful about who you choose to meet and make sure it's ALWAYS at some restaurant or someplace outside. Not all people are bad, but there are enough bad ones to where you have to keep your guard up.

It's possible.

I think that it is possible but it might be extremely difficult because hardly anyone is honest when talkin on the internet. Granted many people are rearly honest even in person. But in person you can kinda get a feel for that person where as with the internet this isnt possible....you have to trust that they are tellin you the truth which is a rear thing for people to do.
