If you go to 'My Computer' click on you local disk and then click on Documents and Settings then click on your login name then you should see a folder called "cookies" click on that and delete anything in there. if there is nothing in there go back "my computer" and click on local disk again then click on "program Files" then you should get a page with loads of files on it go through the list of files and see if you see anything unusual (because page show you everything installed on you computer like iTunes, photoshop etc.) if there are folders called nullsoft they are commonly un-asked for software other folders are things with company names on the like 888.com and other pop-up that you get. So you can try both of these things and if you have no success or need help you can e-mail me

If you know the name of the file being launched, go to safe mode from boot by hitting F8 and selecting safe mode and delete the file manually. Also, remove it from startup by launching msconfig from "run" on start menu and unselect the item.
