On the contrary I find how I dress very enjoyable, and i appreciate her concern.
and no I have not read that book, I may look into it, and I can not think of any book I have read other than my Bible on modesty

I haven't read it, but it sounds interesting. I have pretty strong thoughts about how people dress. I guess you could say I'm middle of the road. I wouldn't show a lot of skin, even if I did have the figure for it. But I do dress for comfort, and in the summer that usually means shorts, tanktops, and at the beach or pool, I will wear a bathing suit, but probably not a bikini. I sometimes wear skirts above the knee, but not really short. I would say that a lot of people wear clothes that do cross the line of proper modesty, but I have friends who go to the opposite extreme. If they're happy with that style of dress, that's fine, but I don't believe God cares what style of dress you wear as long as it isn't too revealing. A person's style of dress should reflect their personality, and the kind of person they want the world to see them as.

I haven't read that particular book, but I have read several other books that have mentioned Dressing with Dignity and some of the reasons certain types of clothing isn't encouraged (notice I didn't say forbidden or a sin).
Recently, I finished reading Every Man's Battle, and was surprised to find that woman should watch what they choose to wear...not because of themselves, but because when they dress skantily, they are causing men all around them to have lustful, and adulterous thoughts.

I'm afraid I haven't read that particular book, but our church believes in modesty. Have you read a book called Emotional Purity? It is very good.

thank u for the enlightment. i never knew that the christian women had restrictions (would u call it that?) in dressing. i always thought that they could wear anything. show anything. its nice to know that modesty is still an important thing to christians.

It would be nice if Girls could learn to sell their personality and keep their nudity hidden but it seems the longer we go ,the more they show. Till I think even Men are getting board with the Female attire.

I suggest you find another issue aside from how women dress. It's not particularly interesting to anyone. It almost seems as if you're obsessed...
