i guess it wont be that bad for your cat but the only thing is your cat will not be able to get their specific nutrients they need by eating dog food coz ofcourse each kind of animals has a certain or different types of nutrition need.. so your dog food is made and compose to give nutrition to your dog not for your cat, try to give the food at the same time for both of them and see if still your cats chooses to go and eat your dog food. if that happen try to seperate them while feeding for them to get what they really need to have..

Yes, your cat should not be eating dog food as his main diet. Commercial pet food is cooked and cooking destroys taurine, essential for eye and heart health in a cat.
Dogs and humans can make taurine in their bodies and so their food is OK with cooking. Cats must have taurine added to their food and all commercial cat foods have taurine added.

Very bad. Cat food has taurine in it, because cats can't make it themselves.
Feed him cat food, or he'll go blind

Yes. Cat food is fortified with Taurine. It is an essential amino acid which cats have to have in order to process protein. If your cat doesn't get any taurine in it, he will go blind.

if you are feeding your dog the commercial dogfood, then better not let your cat eat it. dogs can eat cat food but cats must not eat dog food.

its harmless.....the foods are basically the same just made a little more different but your cat will be fine if it keeps eating the food. if u still are uncomfortable with that idea....then switch cat foods and find one it likes.
