Peanut butter will disolve chewing gum. Plus, the dog will enjoy licking off anything that's left over =)

Well, I too would advocate peanut butter, but having a dog that's alleric to the stuff, I suggest a different lubricant, like cooking oil or the above-mentioned ice-cube-and-warm-water trick. Getting an extra pair of hands to hold the dog down will be helpful, as dogs have sensitive feet and seldom hold still for the most painless of procedures. Once the majority of the gum is removed, I would use my thumb to rub off the rest, like removing the tacky glue on a magazine's address label.
Another thing you might want to keep in mind is that dogs can be very dramatic, and may yelp before you even touch her paw.
Be careful, and good luck!

I bet other people have said this before, but rub an ice cube in the area, it should made the gum hard so it will get off. If that doesn't work, get some hot water and put it in a bowl and put the dog's paw in the bowl for about 20 seconds, then take a dish rag and most of it should come off from melting!
Good luck!

I would put a lot of peanut butter on it and work it in really good . The peanut butter has a oil it it and the gum will break down from the oil in the peanut butter. do not put ice on your dogs paw even though ice will freeze the gum to get it off clothes it don't work the same on a animals paw you could end up giving your dog frost bite. good luck.

Hi, I understand that you are looking for some advice or resources to help fully train your dog or fix behavior problems. If a professional dog trainer is not an option at this time, or if you want to trt training your dog on your own (a great way to bond), I'd suggest you https://biturl.im/aUM8L
A friend recommened it to me a few years ago, and I was amazed how quickly it worked, which is why I recommend it to others. The dog training academy also has as an excellent home training course.
