They are? I though the main argument against illegal immigrants is the billions of dollars they cost the nation that they don't make up in payroll taxes.

1. My argument is based on the legality of it all
2. While many want and can assimilate, the majority do not. Check out a census some time, over half of the people who's primary language is anything but English (a requirement for citizenship) state that they don't know any or not enough to get by on.
3. What about La Raza? As I understand it, they want to invade America and reclaim a false Aztlan. Or at least, that's what their spokespeople keep saying.

It is the lack of enforcement by the politicians that even allow illegals to be here in the first place. The far left has become so disillusioned that they blame everyone but themselves for every single thing. This logic or lack thereof is really beyond belief.

Isn't failing to assimilate after migrating to a different country in itself xenophobic? Against the host culture?

Ridiculous. Immigrants now are not really immigrants. They do not want to be American. They only want to work in America legally because there is no employment opportunities in their country of origin. In case of war, whose side are they on? I asked somebody from Mexico if USA and Mexico went to war, whose side would he be on. His answer was "it depends". This is a sad state of affairs. My grandfather came from Germany and learned English so that he could communicate with others who came from different countries and also learned English. Immigrants today cannot speak English and cannot even write in their own language - they only speak it.

"We call things racism just to get attention. We reduce complicated problems to racism, not because it is racism, but because it works." - Alfredo Gutierrez, political consultant, as quoted by Richard de Uriarte, The Phoenix Gazette, March 14, 1992 (quoted in The ProEnglish Advocate, 1st quarter, 2002)

How about focusing on getting them OUT of the country, instead of arguing about it? Whether you realize it, or not, you're advocating for amnesty. I think you DO realize it. Pretty weak advocacy.

why is it that people want to call people who are right names when or compare them to Nazi when they have no real excuse for thier behavior.
Could it merely be that many illegal aliens is that first they are illegally here in this nation.
And one does not have to assume they will not learn our language or try and fit in to society, since they have for a couple generations now proved and showed that many don't want to.
