Your in eighth grade. If you think thats hard, wait until you grow up. Take your time, study during the week and take the weekends off to relax.

I am having the same problem with 11th grade. I tend to take lunch for extra work, the stuff you know you don't have time to do at home. I then take an hour for homework, a half hour free time, and then another hour for homework each night. If I don't get it all done, then I stay alert and on task til it is finished, and tell your parents or whoever you live with how you are feeling. They will help a lot. They may even lay off the chores until you are back on your feet. This is what I did, and now I have a lot of free time and good grades.

Sounds like you're a lot like my grand daughter-an over achiever and very hard on yourself. If you're a good student up till now you've built a strong foundation.
"CHANGE" is scarier for everyone and everyone fears having a "melt down" as you so appropriately wrote. Learn to ask for help from your parents or other trust worthy adults to help guide you.
Recall other times in the past you felt stressed out and how you go through it. The more you focus on being stressed the more stressed you will become.
Learn to have a good time too. You're young and when you get to be 50ish this will not matter. Believe me life is short. Teach yourself to BALANCE study with fun. No one ever put on their grave head stone I WISH I WOULD HAVE SPENT MORE TIME WORKING!!!

in case you could effectively pass the exams for Grade 9, your moms and dads can attempt to hitch you in grade 10 for next year. If the college board is quite inflexible about attendance, then you would merely ought to take grade 8 all yet another time. in case you ignored the attendance mark because of ailment or because your moms and dads were required through their business enterprise to paintings in a diverse area and the kinfolk change into required to move, then you've were given grounds to have your absenteeism forgiven after all, your moms and dads will opt to talk to both the highschool prinicipal or the college board places of paintings, probable both. now's the time to initiate the approach, no longer next August.

This is why I'm glad I'm old. Much less stress. The only things I have to worry about are prostate cancer, being laid off from work, car insurance, my kids losing their jobs and moving back in with me and nuclear war.
