When I got contacts for the very first time, I got soft, disposable ones. You wear them up to 1 month, and throw them away. I started out on Acuvue2, but I would recommend Oasis, now.

biomedics are the ones i use, but they are only for ten hours at a time. they are ideal for wearing to school, go extreme sporting, anything. go to your opticians and ask there, get the soft, disposable ones. i didnt go for the whole month ones for a couple of reasons; i am too young probably, and also that i would probably forget in a month when i had put them in. they are really easy to use and i would definitley recommend contacts, you cant even feel them when they are in.

Whatever the doctor gives you. Contacts aren't that hard to wear, once you get used to them. It took my eyes a few days to get used to them, but after about 3 days I was good to go.
