I finally found the address to my sweetie who is in Basic Training. I was wondering how long will it take for a letter to arrive to Great Lakes? "I mail the letter today" I was thinking that it will arrive to him about 3 or 4 days. He should recieve the letter maybe Wednesday or Thursday. What's the estimate?

Mail within the USA is the same just about anywhere else within the USA (Military post notwithstanding)
so about 3 to 4 days.

When I was in bootcamp, sometimes a letter would be sent two weeks before I recieved it, sometimes it would be two days. It just all depends on how much mail RTC is receiving at the time, because remember they have to sort through it all. When I was there in January-March '03, we had division froms 04x-24x, so almost 200 divisions at 80-100 persons in each - that is A LOT of mail to break down and get to the right person. Just keep that in mind. He will get your letter, I promise, but it will take some time.

It usually takes between 4days to a week. Like when i was in basic, sometimes id get one later a day. sometimes itd be like 3 or 4 days, and then id get like 4 or 5 of them..
Also depends on how often they pick up the mail in his unit.
Sometime people get lazy.

If you mailed the letter today, he will have it in Great Lakes by Monday, but depending upon their mail sorting at the base, it may be Tuesday before he receives his mail.

I usually get things to other states in 3 days by regular mail. (sometimes only 2 days.)

By pony express, it would probably take one day. However using the USPS, . . . . . . . em. . . . . about two weeks if ur lucky.
