Once saved always saved is a lie, Hebrews 6 gives the description of what happens when a believer falls away. As for the road and gate, it's because His gift of salvation is very simple, yet many don't get it. They think they have to earn it, and that just is not true. We are saved by grace through faith and not by works lest any man should boast of his good works.

Jesus is warning those who would follow him that the gate and road that is wide leads to hell, and many would follow that road. And that only a few would follow the narrow road through the narrow gate which leads to true life.

If you accept Jesus for real--that is, not just say it, but mean it--then you begin working out your salvation, which means work, yes.
Once you are saved, Jesus plants in your heart the desire to serve God, to seek God's will, and to do God's will once it is revealed to you. Once you accept Jesus with your heart--not just your mouth--you want to serve him, and your own petty business becomes insignificant compared to the amazing, ineffable depth and beauty of the relationship you cultivate with him.
Narrow is the road once you accept, but you must accept totally. Some who say they accept don't find the narrow road, because they have not given their heart and soul back to God.

when you are saved you want to do good. GOD isn't a fool HE knows your heart. that is why HE also said not everyone who says LORD LORD will enter heaven. the road is narrow because not many people want to trust HIM. you can tell that by all the disrespect HE gets on this site. the way to hell is wide and pride stops people from coming to the LORD. that was satans downfall.and after saved we are told to go in the world and tell others of HIS SAVING GRACE. we are not saved to serve ourselves but to serve HIM

OSAS is as true as John 3:16. When Jesus said, "It is finished," He meant it.
However, SAYING you believe & ACTUALLY believing are 2 VERY different things.
Those who merely say it haven't found anything but a new term for their vocabulary.

Because there are many people who claim to be saved but never truly accepted Jesus Christ as their personal savior. Not to mention, if you're truly saved, why would you purposely continue to defy God?

I don't believe once saved always saved. I don't believe anyone can take your salvation from you, but you can walk away from it. The bible says, he who looks back after putting his hand to the plow is unworthy. I don't know where that's found.

Absolutely. James 2:23 says that "faith without works is dead." The attached article presents more food for thought on this subject.

If your doing work for the Lord and become lukewarm, he will "spue you out" VOMIT
Christians get lukewarm LAZY
And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God; I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked: I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and [that] the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see. As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.
