You don't say, but let's assume you've never spoken with her before. So first, you need to break the ice.
Let's say you see her standing alone, let's say at her locker.
Walk by, and SMILE. Suppose she's standing there fiddling with her locker. You could toss off a casual remark about whatever SHE is paying attention to... e.g. " those lockers are too small, eh? ". Then SMILE.. and keep walking by.
If there's nothing obviously on her mind, option B is this:
compliment her choice of clothing (NOT her general looks). Make it sincere but casual, like "hm. nice jacket!". Then SMILE, and keep walking.
Don't ask her any questions, or start talking about anything that would be awkward for either of you. Just echo what she's possibly thinking.. then SMILE.
If she starts replying, you could stop briefly - stand sorta beside her, you both looking in the same direction. Then LISTEN... you don't have to come up with anything brilliant to say if SHE's talking. When she's done, find a way to agree with and support what she just said, just to be friendly. Then LEAVE. Don't stick around long - you need a planned exit.
But as you're leaving, say
"hey - I gotta get going, but maybe we could get together next week and talk?" - if she smiles, stop for another second and get her number or email.
The beauty of this plan is that you don't have to think or say much. And it's likely to leave her thinking this:
- wow - how did he read my mind? He was listening!
- wow- he noticed what I was wearing! (a girl thought...)
- gee, he's a busy guy - I'll be lucky if he makes some time for me.
Do let me know how it works :-)

I'm a sucker for Old Fashioned, Look if u like this girl, just ask her out, if she says no then she wasn't worth it, got up to the girl and say, "I really like you, would you like to go out with me sometime", if she says yes then say, "what about tonight", go from there, just take the bull by the horns, best way.

it has to be unique... and a LITTLE romantic (not too much or its corney and u'll scare the girl).
probably on a date... find a special way to ask
like on a dinner date you can ask the waiter to ask for you and have him whisper you her ear while your there so its a unexpected.
send her a letter (like mail... not Email)
or to be casual... go bowling or skating with the gal and spring the Q!

Send her a card with a flower or politely go up to her and ask her. Don't be too shy or rude even (exp. "Hey baby what's yo name.."). Be yourself. GOOD LUCK! ! !
