First let's remember that this creature became what is known as a snake after God punished it. We know little of the garden , perhaps Adam and Eve were able to communicate with all animals. They were were not dismayed when the serpent spoke. The told them just enough truth with his lies to seduce Eve. Their eyes would be opened and they would be like God knowing Good and evil and that they would not die. Satan knew the rules for man. Adam was condemned to the first death and eve would have enmity with the serpent who would now crawl on his belly and eat dust and bruise her heel and she bruise it's head.remember that man was made of dust. symbolic of Satan devouring man.

Do you know that many major universities offer advanced degrees in parapsychology? And these are the same universities that are famous for their natural science programs.

Those who hold to the notion that if it cannot be quantified, it cannot be counted as science, are somewhat naive, to put it mildly.

When a person is demon-possessed, even if that person is a young attractive female with a normal high-pitched voice, during possession, she may speak in a deep, male voice. If an animal is possessed, what will prevent it from speaking even if it's a lie?
Just because you and many persons you know have not experienced something does not necessarily mean that it did not and cannot happen.

Lastly, how do you KNOW that snakes cannot speak? Maybe they can speak but you do not know their language!!!

It was the Devil, and he could clothe himself in a human body why not a snake?
First he wanted God to sound bad. "You cannot eat anything?"
poor baby! This was the tree of knowledge of good and bad and she was deceived so he probably said: "Look at me a lowly snake, I ate the fruit and I didn't die. Now I can talk, a lowly snake.
Just think what it will do for you? Now he planted the desire.
I've done the same thing with my parents. "I can't go anywhere?"
So if I can figure out what to say, I'm sure a mighty spirit creature who has been around for billions of years can figure it out.
Then she said,"We can't eat it, no we can't even touch it or we will die." Pretty bad, WoW
Then he says, "You won't really die, he just wants you to think that." Now someone is lying. One says your going to die and one says your not. Who's lying?
If hell is true and you don't really die Satan was telling the truth.
Since he was called the father of the lie. When your dead your dead. God even went on to explain death. They didn't know what it meant. He said, "For dust your are and to dust you will return." don't see them around anymore.

The snake snakes or the other, more dangerous ones? The ones that undermine you behind your backs, bite the hands that feed them and generally appear as more ungrateful than the snake snakes? :-)

Free thinking people with the faculty of reason do. Unfortunately there is always that crazy group that take everything in the Old Testament as a literal truth.
