what can i use to subsitute for buttermilk? evaporated, condensed, regular ? anything ? if so what?

i want to make bread but it calls for buttermilk ... reg mil should be ok to substitute tho as long as i add 1 part white vinegar ?

Use regular milk with 1 tbsp. vinegar.

For whatever measure you need, you'll have to amend this, but to one cup regular milk, add one tablespoon white vinegar and let sit a bit before mixing in with other ingredients.

Hey, I've answered this one before! Yes, you can...add one part white vinegar to 3 parts whole milk. Suitable for cooking recipes, but not for drinking.

I know we substituted buttermilk for regular milk the other day, so I would imagine you can flip it around.

depends on what you are making. Regular milk can typically be substituted in most cases.
