Crazy yes, but people do it all the time. Internet dating, meeting strange people who could be rapists or axe murderers. My very intelligent, very good looking son even went that route last year. Thankfully he did not meet any weirdos but also did not find the right girl. I know this one woman that thought she had found her soulmate, and now she is going thru a messy divorce. He turned out to be a really bad person.
