Nothing can prevent a baby from coming early. I know in some cases they have medication that helps, or maybe bed rest. You can never tell if it will help though.

With my son I had a very normal pregnancy and then when I went to the doctor I was diagnosed with pre-eclampsia. I went to the hospital and was on bed rest, different medications. Nothing helped and they had to induce 6 weeks early. There was nothing they could do to stop that from happening. I got lucky though and my son was fine.

If it does happen early there are a lot of things they can do for a preemie now. They have a really good chance of making it with all the possibilities there are. Sometimes the baby is just better off outside of the Mother. No one knows the reasons why, you just have to be positive about it. Don't stress out, and try to do everything you can to keep yourself healthy.

nope. my first was 2 weeks early and my secnd was 4 days late. anything before 37 weeks is typically considered early, but the baby is fully developed so there should be no health problems.

if you are looking to try to induce labor yourself, walk a LOT, and climb up and down stairs a lot too. both of those work wonders. (walked up and down the stairs a LOT with my first....only a 5 hr labor. walked about 10 miles in the few days before going into labor with my second....less than an hour with her)

If doctors knew what caused pre term labor the could find a cure to stop it but they don't even know how a women at 40 weeks goes into labor. They don't know what tells the body that it is time.

i'm no longer attempting to be sarcastic, yet 38-40 two weeks. they say a due date is extra of a due month, 2 weeks till now and a pair of weeks after your due date. some women human beings have a toddler untimely one being pregnant and pass late the subsequent. It varies lady to lady. i'm an business enterprise believer that no being pregnant is textual content textile e book, in spite of the indisputable fact that there is extremely of a "norm", so thats why I say the 38-40 two weeks. maximum suitable needs!

everybody's body is different so one may go a full 40 weeks where alot go a few weeks earlier. i don't really think there is anything you can do besides the normal care for yourself that is required, getting as much rest as possible toward the end helps too
