No way to get pot raost worth eating in an hour - you're looking at about 3 hours at least. Take your pot roast and first you want to brown the top and bottom in a hot skillet. Transfer to an oven safe dish. Fill the sides with a mixture of half chicken and half beef stock. Make the sure the liquid comes up on the roast by half. POp that in a 300 degree oven. Flip your roast every 30 mintutes until the internal temp reaches about 210 degrees. Add any carrots, onions, parsnips, etc to the liquid and cook for another hour after the internal temp has been reached. Remove and enjoy! It takes longer, but you'll enjoy it more!

FYI - a pressure cooker will reduce the cooking time greatly, but pot roast is a cheap cut of meat and the idea here is to SLOWLY increase the temp so that the connective tissue melts and dissolves into "lip smackin" gelatin that makes the meat moist and, well edible. Quick cooking on cheap meats makes the muscle fibers and connective tissue wad up - this is why some meat is dry, stringy, and tough.

You are not going to make a pot roast in less than a hour,.
get a English cut(of beef) put carrots & potatoes in the bottom of a crock pot or slow cooker and add the pot roast put a bay leaf and a onion on the roast cover and set it for 8 to 10 hours.
thats how you make a great pot roast, you can make them in the oven but they come out tough, the slower breaks down the meat and it will fall apart, and you have your pot. and veggies.

An an hour, how big is you roast. Maybe, if you braised it in some onions and garlic to brown out side, then sliced it into two, then put in roasting dish with some carrots and veggies, cover with a brown gravy and some seaosnings. at 375 it might be done, I dont know how big it is. I htink if u did it on top of stove in pot, it might get tough , like boiling. I love slow cookers, but i undrestand u have not the time.

If you are talking about a beef pot roast there is no way you can
cook beef and have it tender enough to eat in an hour , unless you cook it in a pressure cooker. I have an 8qt pressure cooker that I make beef stew in . It will cook it in a much lesser amount of time. I put some cooking oil in the cooker, flour my beef, and put it into the hot oil, just long enough to brown it. Then add water and cook. If you are not used to a pressure cooker tho. You have to be careful with them. Once you have used one a few times you won't want to be without it. The pressure inside is what cooks the food so quickly. It tenderizes tough cuts of meat.

Get yourself a pressure cooker. They are not all that expensive and you will wonder what you ever did without one. They are safe too all those old stories are from way back when there were problems. They all have multiple safety features built in. You will cook one pot meals including roasts in about 20% of the time versus cooking in any other way.Enjoy!

Buy it all ready cooked at the store. The easiest way to make one in more than an hour is to put it in the crock pot the night before with onion, potatoes, carrots and some water and let it cook overnight.

if u cant put it n a slow cooker u need to cut it up in big hunks,( so it will ck thouroughly season with accent, tenderizer ( no salt ) sm pepper a little bit of dales saesoning, cut sum red skin potatoes n half with other veggies that u like add sum beef broth out of the can and put it in a deep dish n the oven i dunno what temp i would guess 400 maybe and put foil over the top with a few holes so it stays moist. Cook sum rice on the side with gravy and a bread ( lotta starch i know) or a nice salad will dress it up.
