Try pinching the skin right at your elblow, the loose skin. No matter how hard you pinch, you don't feel it!

Yet your knee, similar to the elbow, you do feel the same.

Anyone know why?

Okay, I better put a dislaimer here in case someone damages themselves! Apparently it DOES hurt some people, not others.

My girlfriend and I both have the same. We can even pinch each others, with two hands (pushing down), and no pain at all.

And you are right (those that mentioned it), it bloody does hurt if you knock it! Just the skin.

Ask your doctor about an exercise routine. Regular exercise, such as walking three times a week, may reduce neuropathy pain, improve your muscle strength and help control blood sugar levels. Gentle routines such as yoga and tai chi might also help.
