I told char g from level 2 to go kill herself. I was just joking, but now I'm scared. Now that I've actually read her complete history on Q&A I see that she has some severe problems, I didn't realize that she was having such a hard time. I was just joking before. She hasn't asked anymore questions and I think she might be dead or contemplating death. If anyone knows her, can they tell her I'm really sorry and it was just a joke in bad taste.

I just read your answer to char g. I would try seeking out some mental health assistance for yourself. I think it is rare to see such a display of immaturity and bad taste. I especially thought your statement to char g: "Oh did I make you cry?" after telling char g to kill themselves was cruel. Are you disabled in any way? Perhaps a lower than average IQ? If so, I apologize for my criticism-you may have a difficulty time helping yourself. Did you know that 70% of bipolar people attempt suicide at least once in their life and 35% are successful? I hope you are scared.
In response to your question, you are clearly not sincere. Why are you surprised she is angry at you?

Your apology did seem sincere and it's good that you made the effort, but why would you say that sh** in the first place? I really hope that char g gets the help she needs AND SO SHOULD YOU. That was completely uncalled for. NEVER joke around about killing themselves when someone is suicidal. People have answered that one comment probably won't push her over the edge, but when someone is that close to taking their lives, a little nudge is all they need. Seriously get some help, you might be sociopathic.

You said in your posting here that you were just joking and you didn't realize what a hard time she was having. Well maybe you should stop and think before you answer a question like that. You were aware that this question was posted in the mental health section.
Did you tell her to kill herself because you thought maybe she was black? I mean you did post on here that all black people should die. You are truly a horrible person.
She is totally entitled to say what she said to you on. You are a bi*ch and I hope to God that you never have a love one that reaches out for help, even if it is from strangers, and that someone would treat them the way you treated her.

You just never really know what may send someone over the top. I remember a woman who used to come into the ER about once a month... everytime the Welfare Dept. told her they would no longer support her or pay her rent... so this woman would slice her wrists... not deeply and always across the wrist rather than along the inside of the arm... so she would never hit anything vital.
Finally, one day, after seeing her every month for a year and seeing yet another slice on her arm I took a knife and, holding my arm up I said "Here... if you really want to kill yourself, then don't cut across like you have been doing... just run the knife this way, and then you can be certain of cutting an artery"...
I never saw that woman again... and that has been over 30 years ago. I have often wondered if I caused her death or if she just moved away... and I'll never know.. but it does bother me.

You know what how would you feel if you were fighting with your family, found out that your best friend DIED, and then your boyfriend walked out on you all in the same night. Edit your answer, see if she has a 360 or email to send her a note. Once you do that, you have done what you can do. We all make mistakes, I'm glad to see that you learned from yours. Also, this might sound mean but if she constantly expects you to keep apologizing and she keeps posting threats to hurt herself, she could be one of those people who just love to get sympathy from chat. What she should do is go find help where she lives, you can only get so much emotional support from strangers, you know? You are doing the right thing...live and learn hon. Good luck.

Easy people. I think she's already figured out that it was a bad idea. She's TRYING to make things right, and doesn't need our criticism. She needs our help. How many of us have said the wrong thing, just because we didn't know we were speaking with someone with issues?

Seriously, do you really think that she's going to kill herself from someone on the interent telling her to kill herself? No, she won't. And if she ends up doing it, then it was going to happen sooner or later, I mean everyone has people tell them to die sometime in their lives.

She does NOT sound like a whiny brat. She sounds like a real person. If I were her, I wouldn't have accepted your apology. Your comments were rude, hurtful and possibly very weighty, for you, had she taken your "advice" you could've been an accessory to suicide... In my state, that's a felony.

I don't think that your one comment would cause her to kill herself. I get offended too when people say certain things like that because I am mentally ill. However, I don't let it bother me. She should know that some people just don't understand what it is like. I strongly doubt you are the only one that ever said anything to her before like that. Don't worry, at most she just got angry and decided to take a break from yahoo answers.
