Well, if at any point they ask you to send them money to get the prize then you know it is false. I'm sure the man on the line told you what to do with your confirmation number, so just go through the process and see what happens, perhaps it is a real prize, but like you I am skeptical about any pop-up adds claiming a prize is coming to you as I see them all of the time. You could also go back to the same website and see if the add pop's up again. Also, do not give them sensitive personal information like your social security number, if they ask for that or bank account details it is definitely a scam. You could also contact the website through it's contact information page and ask them about it as well. Just move carefully and good luck.

This is the persons way of marketing there product. They send these false emails telling you that you have won these different prizes and "bam" nothing never comes out of it. I had a friend that had a email come to her telling her that she had won an ipod and had to send a email around to all of her contacts. After she did this she never received the good. But guess what the email that she had to send around was a forward for the one that she received. So all of these people supposedly got the email and all of these people had to forward this email And so on.
However i don't want to discourage you, just be very care full and don't give them anything personal about you. If they ask you to come and pick anything up don't go alone.

It sounds like a timeshare place. They use these "free travel" gifts as scams to get you to their property. You will have to pay some money upfront & they promise you that they will give you the bonus money after you listen to your presetion of buying something with them. If you don't buy, then they treat you like crap. Then, wen you get on the 2nd trip (vegas), they will try it all over again.

It's just a scam to get you to spend money at their resort or something. They'll want you to pay your own airfare, and to take a tour of their property, and pay the taxes on your winnings. Don't give them any personal information.

Nope, not true. Why would they give you a trip and not everybody else that visits the website? I wouldn't believe it. They are probably trying to steal your money or security information.

Throw it in the trash, that is all it is good for. It was a mass mailing that hit a lot of people.
