What would be the use of producing a product that functioned and lasted beyond claims while offered at a price as low as possible?

Why mass produce a product with good quality materials, which functioned & lasted beyond public claims, and being offered at as low a price as possible?

If a high quality product serves the interest of a community or the public then perhaps a government might even offer funds to stimulate its mass production.

Vegetable, fruits and/or grains are produced in mass qualities. Many food products whether fruit, vegetable or grains can be brought at many different stores for a variety of costs.
