I'm a Legal Resident of the USA, I'd like to visit Japan, what documents do I need in order for me to travel there?

Legal USA resident, so you are from another country ? So that depends on which passport you hold wether you need to have a Visa or not to enter Japan, best check with the nearest japanese Embassy or consulate to you.
