Expiration Date?

When it says, expiration date is Oct 2007, when exactly is it? Does it mean we cannot consume the product with effect 01st October? Or is it still good til 31st Oct?

Anything with that long of a shelf life would still be fine to eat in Dec 2007 as long as the package hasn't been damaged and temperature has been maintained if needed.
