Could anyone show me a macro or executable file that will delete an excel file at a certain future date, then that same macro or executable file will delete itself. The macro should NOT generate a message or request permission to proceed with the deletion.

I know that a macro cannot delete itself, but perhaps another macro can delete another macro.

Like one terminator terminating another terminator. Just like in the terminator movie.

Windows Batch files will delete themselves and not ask for confirmation. You have to set a Scheduled Task for future, un-attended execution of the batch file. I don't know about deleting the Scheduled task though. If you are doing this for the good of the computer user, the left over Scheduled Task will not be an issue.

On the other hand, if you drag a blanket behind your wagon, it may obscure the tracks enough that no one can see where you went.

A Macro cannot delete itself (Didn't you watch Terminator 2?)

Use MacroExpress - it's a superb shareware.

It sound like you are trying to make a worm, or a trojan in Macro.

If so, I am sorry, I can't help.

Otherwize, contact me and prove to me that you are not doing so.
So I can give you the technique that I am using in my procedures to protect my software.
