There has never been any proof that God is answering prayers.

Things happen after prayers and people call them "answers".
If they don't pray and the same thing happened they don't call them "answers" because they didn't pray. If good things happen they remember those events and they forget the times when they got bad results from their prayers. So they have a bias that prayers are effective. Prayers have never been shown to be effective on the average.

Prayer makes people think they are influencing God to give their special attention. It inflates their egos to imagine their prayers are being "answered". People like to feel important. They don't see that prayer is ineffectual and impotent behavior. But it fools them into feeling better. So they continue to pray.

There is also a ritualistic aspect of prayer. It is something people do when there is nothing else they can do. It is a desparate attempt to say magic words and incluence the future through rituals.

God answers every prayer immediately...and every answer is 100% correct...according to His will, however.

Yahoo Answers involves a time lag in order to get an answer...from seconds to days. None of the answers are 100% complete and very often incorrect...and they're all limited to mans' narrow thinking.

There is nothing wrong with showing faith in humanity nor seeking correct information. That's why God gave us an intellect.

I agree that many questions approximately Christianity are blatently sarcastic and a few are insulting. it relatively is extremely no longer the main suitable thank you to coach a factor and merely deepens the divide between us. nevertheless, we can not positioned each and all of the blame on the atheists and agnostics. I see an outstanding variety of questions written via believers in God in some variety that degrade atheists to boot. all aspects are responsible of this. i'd estimate that during basic terms 5-10% of questions approximately faith are asked via people who're heavily curious.

That's a petinent question. Comparing Yahoo and God is something beyond understanding. You know very well that there is nothing that is made without God's inspiration, and so what is Yahoo?Yahoo may be faster than God but can Yahoo do what God can do for you?

Asking Yahoo! is a lot quicker, but you get too many different kinds of answers. Asking God may be slower, but the quality and the consistency of His answers way outrank the answers on Yahoo!

I have yet to see God answer anything in reality, so I'm going to go with Yahoo on this.

Also, I'm declined to think you must be very insecure to question everything you do in your life as opposed to how God would want it.

Yeah, ask God in a prayer what the capital of Iceland is... let me know when he answers.

Asking on Y!A's appears to result in some of the same kind of answers God gives to prayers.

But, at least questions on Y!A's are generally answered. Most prayers are ignored.
