i have a friend dating a married man, i told her she wastin her time, she only get to see him 2 times a week for 3 hours, he never give her anything, but lunch sometime, he makes very good money, but he has told her he have no plans to leave his spouse ever. as they have 2 kids, and his wife is the best, he just wants fun every now and then, what kinda life is that, when there are plenty single guys out there .so my question is do u feel its a waste of time, when there is know glimmer of hope, of them every being together? this is not the first time she been with married guys, they all dump her after 3 to 6 months...

I have been involved with a married man too and although it is true that there is no future in it and I only get to see him a few hours a week, for me that is as good as any single guy I have dated. I have never found a single man who had time for me or bought me stuff or pursued a future with me. I might be wasting my time but at least I am having fun and enjoyoing the time I have with him rather than sit home night after night waiting for the single guy I met to ask me out again.

That's sad she does not seem to have any self-respect. Perhaps she has not had any success in dating single guys? If this is the case buy her a book called Why Men Love Bitches, this is a good tool to use when dating & will also provide good laughs. However, if she is into a no strings kind of relationship than I would say leave her alone she is an adult.

The first problem is the fact that you are butting into someone else's business..........so you need to Butt Out!!! Of course this is a dead end for her......but she is acceptinmg the consequences of her behavior. Stop trying to be her fairy godmother and rescueing her. In the end, she will see how much of her life she is wasting and also she has no self-esteen to put up with this. If I were you, I would not discuss this with her at all. If she brings it up then set your personal boundaries and tell her that she knows how you feel about this and you do not want to discuss it any further. Don't make this a threesome, missy.......period.

is this girl me? well its the same story anyway. after 16 years of off & on "seeing" him i realize he had been giving me just enough to keep me hopeful. and that didnt take much because i wanted to hope, at least. but for some reason i recently woke up. man what a waste of time, not to mention the hurt & pain i could cause another people if they ever found out. i miss him and will think of him alot. he did stay around for 16 years and i thought it was because he really had a deep feeling for me, but when i woke up i saw it a different way. he stayed around 16 years because it was easier when he needed a quick fix to come to someone he knew he could get it from instead of going through the process of getting it on with someone else. yeah a big waste of time and self esteem

Depends on why she's dating him. If she wants a guy for a few good times that won't try to pressure her into marriage, then this is ideal.
Not everyone wants to date towards marriage. Maybe she prefers the single life, and that's why she does what she does.

It sounds like your friend has a fear of commitment by the way she chooses married men, knowing subconsciously that they will not leave their spouse so she knows she is "safe" from a commitment.

Single girl or married, "dating", you mean cheating on his wife, is a bad idea.
