I think that in terms of fetishes and why people have them is still a rather mysterious process, something like asking why one likes their favourite colour. The only thing that can be assumed right now is that it exists and you need a response to it.
From the way you describe yourself, you seem to be a person open to new ideas. Perhaps you have heard this before, but just to remind you, you need not have the same urges that he has. The rationale behind the lack of a given urge is also as mysterious, something like why some people have no sexual urges at all. (There are some that argue that such people are simply in denial, but that's baloney.)
I guess the best thing to do within yourself is to decide based on what you know (which would be what he tells you and what you can find out from other people either in person or in writing) whether you are adamantly opposed to indulging his fetish or if you are willing to give it a try. It you do try it, then you'll either fall in love with it, tolerate it enough to do it sometimes (as a gesture to him), or be repulsed by it enough to not want to repeat it. Any decision you make need not be justified, either to him, or necessarily to yourself.
I know that it's not exactly an answer as it's not something that I fully understand myself, but your boyfriend is a good source of information on this. Speak with him about it and see if he can explain it himself. That's the only way we can really get in touch with our psyches.

I think that most men, mostly because of porn, have this fantasy of ejaculating on a wonan's face( or in her mouth). Honestly, even as a man, I don't really understand the urge (but I have had it before). I don't think that most men could give you a good answer. All I can say say is if you're comfortable with it, try it once or twice to see if you like it. It sounds like you do a lot to make him happy in bed and I think that you are entitled to draw the line somewhere if you want.
