You have to go to the doctor to get birth control pills. They are a prescription medication. If you have a 12 year old daughter, you should be old enough to know this. She also needs to have a pap smear done as well if she's sexually active. And I honestly can't believe that you're okay with a 12 year old having sex with a 17 year old. Makes me think this is a total BS story. In any case, go to Planned Parenthood, they should be able to help you out.

She needs to get to a Dr. If she has begun sexual activity she needs a yearly exam/pap smear.
I would stress the use of condoms.... make these young fools understand that STD's are REAL and CAN happen to them.
I know that you can't watch her 24/7, but should you be in such full support of this relatioship? Think about what will happen if she pregnant at age 12 or 13... think about what direction her life will take having a much older BF.

Go to Planned Parenthood. You're not going to get a good contraceptive unless you see a healthcare professional. PP has both doctors and nurse practitioners.
If your daughter is mature enought to have sex, she's mature enough to see a medical professional.
If a guy is old enough to be having sex, he's old enough to use a condom all the time. I sincerely doubt that he's able to support a child yet. Condoms are a lot cheaper.
I wish I didn't know about the age difference... that's disturbing.

I think someone else on here was right. Seems like your the " daughter " trying to find a way for birth control. If this is true and your having sex with him because he is telling you he LOVES you get away now. Even tho I am a single dad and my daughter is 8 I have already told her that guys will lie to try and get girls to have sex with them. And the most famous lie " If you love me you will have sex with me" and I told her to say back " If you love me then you won't ask me to have sex ". I told her that when boys start getting to a certain age that is pretty much all they think about. And I feel sorry for the first guy to show up one day to date my daughter cus I'm gonna tell him " You better go pee now cus I'm gonna superglue your zipper shut. I know what's on your dirty mind cus it was on mine at that age and not with MY daughter you don't ". If this is really the mother then you need to have your head examined. Tell the boyfriend to take a hike before you press rape charges on him and explain the facts of life to your child. Better yet, let someone ELSE explain them because you are not doing a very good job of it. NO 12 year old should be having sex for any reason.

Not to be closed minded but his is the dumbest question I have ever heard. What kind of a mother or father would let a 12 yo have sex witha 17 yo man? You don't need a contraceptive pill you should be looking for a lawyer to keep your butt out of jail (even though you belong there!

You should throw your name into the hat for "Parent of the Year!"
I can't believe you're even asking for advice for something like this!!!
She don't need contraceptives, she needs a CHASTITY BELT!!!
And at 12, no less!!! What are you thinking???
Sounds like you're one of those parents who wants to be the kid's friend more than a parent!!!
Time to take steps so she is NOT sexually active!
Furthermore, if this 17 year old doesn't end up in jail now, he will once his 18th birthday hits and if he's still screwing your darling little girl...

First of all, what is your problem as a mother? Age 12 is WAY too young to be having sex! Especially with a 17 year old. The only reason you don't want to take her to the doctor is because you are embarassed and you know the doctor would report it. That is straight up child abuse! You all need counseling!!

You HAVE to take her to the doctor because she is sexually active, has unprotected sex,and THAT could lead to STD's.By the way I suspect this is the 12 year old asking the question, because an adult would already know this and would also know that you have to see a doctor to get birth control(other than condoms.)Birth control is NOT an OTC! You have to have a prescription.Whether on birth control or not,you should still use condoms because you could contract an std that is NOT curable.Protect yourself!!!!! If this guy cared anything about you he wouldn't want to endanger your life or your health. If he doesn't care whether he contracts A.I.D.S,or gets you pregnant,YOU SHOULD!!!!!!

Are you really the parent or are you the "daughter"? If you're the daughter, you're too young to be having sex with a 17-year old boy. That relationship is going nowhere coz once he turns 18, having sex with him would be illegal and he could go to jail.
