Because when I said publicly that I was a non-believer in a real nice Christian community in Texas, the real nice Christians harmed my daughter. And, they poisoned my son's dog to death. They left a note and a "prayer" for us. I lived all over the world and no religion has struck me as more sick and dangerous as Christianity. I won't move on, dear, because I believe, due to your magical-thinking and lack of objectivity, that you and others like you, are dangerous, like that madman in Abilene, Texas who announced a holy prediction of a nuclear explosion in the U.S. this month. How sick can people get? Christians don't even believe in the future, do they? They believe in Doomsday and Armageddon and that they have special passes to get into heaven. They do not believe in life and this home of ours, the earth, or the future welfare of mankind. They don't care because they aren't going to be around, supposedly. Oh, wait. I forgot. There's that little part that if the rest of us suddenly accept your beliefs, that WE get to go along, too. But, the bottom line is Christians have written off this world and our children's future. That makes them dangerous. No, dear. I'm not moving on. YOU are, remember? I won't let mad men destroy my children's future.

I think lots of people don't really care whether you are a "believer" or not, whatever "believer" means.
You answer your own question when you ask why others say "no thank you it's just not for me and move on"? To get that response, you have to be the first to speak. Telling someone about something they're not interested in, especially when it's done in the pushy way of some religious people, is a real turn off. Don't talk to people about your beliefs, unless they've expressed an interest and then you won't be rejected so often.

For pretty much the same reason that all the religious people insist on telling us that we're all going to hell because their big, scary Bible says so. For most Christians posting in this category the "No, thank you" answer is not acceptable to them, thus we continue to dance.
I could care less what anyone believes, but I find it difficult to resist some of the blatantly ignorant questions here. It just seems silly how some actually believe that something they say will suddenly make us all "see the light" and convert on the spot.
I doubt any one of them would have the courage to try MY belief system for a while, so it seems very arrogant to try forcing pious righteousness on me without ever considering my viewpoints.
So just for you: No, thank you. Your religion is just not for me, but I hope it keeps you happy.
Now on to the next question.

Yep, one right here. I don't do that. Follow my link and look at my other answers. I can have a discussion without doing that at all.
When it comes to my family, however, I argue. I do this because I love and respect my family, whether it's wrong or not, just as you would do to your family if they didn't believe, because you love and respect them, whether it is wrong or not.
To me it seems like a waste of mind. I wish more people could feel as reverently toward this life as I do. It's like watching someone repeatedly walk into a wall, and finally shouting "You can't walk through walls!" It's just a reflex of strong belief. Most people do it.

If someone started to believe in aliens because he wanted to, not because there was proof then he would have started to ignore reality. Drugs do that...and so does religion. We believe people of faith deny themselves reality to be happy. Now that's all fine and dandy, but if you pass those teachings onto impressionable children we got a problem here. Religion is slavery except that the servants are happy to be servants.

The same reason Christians cant leave non believers alone. ask all your Lil friends why i have to have YOUR mental illness shoved down my throat on a constant? ask why you "good" people told my 6 year old son that his whole family will burn in hell forever because daddy doesn't talk to invisible people......
Christians are way more guilty of trying to force there beliefs on others.. look at the Crusades, the Spanish Inquisition, the witch hunts in new england... So yeah... kettle, this it the pot.... your black........

I dont like believers controlling my life. I have children and want a good future for them. based on reason. Christianity encourages psychological disorders. The bible promotes hate. Reason is better than ignorance. Christians seek to CONTROL the world. Christians are the ones who benefit from people like me keeping my mouth closed. and many other reasons.
Above all I Prefer Reason to rule

Have I tried to stop you from believing? I only argue when I'm provoked by someone telling me I'm going to hell or some such nonsense and then I have to say "no, I'm not...you are wrong." But if you promise not to say that if I don't believe as you do, I'm going to hell and I'll promise to move on, okay?

Primarily because believers want to use their tax exempt organizations to promote political agendas.
When believers keep their messages in their own homes & churches, no one will bother them. But, until such time, they'll have to compete in the marketplace of ideas just like anyone else who politics.

That's the same thing both ways. Some non-believers cut down christians beliefs, but some people that call there selfs christians cut are beliefs down. We all should have are own opinions on how we live are lifes.
