I saw a bread recipe in the internet and it says to use bread crumbs soaked in water, mix the other ingredients in, then bake in the oven... Can this work really?

Just take the bread you have, (better when stale).. cut into slices...bake in the oven on low heat, like 250, till the bread drys out...less color perfer, you are not try to make toast, but something similiar. Take the bread out of the oven and crumble with your hands...homemade bread crumbs.... and if you even want before you put the bread in the oven sprinkle some dry herbs on there, like italian seasonin'... good luck.

Sure, it is just flour. It all depends on the other ingredients. You will need a fresh leavening agent. You are just recycling the used wheat flour.
