Don't hate them. It's not worth your time. Besides, they hate us too, even though they say they are just trying to "save" us.

Wow. Seems like a generalization. I go to church every once in a while but I definitely would never call "church people" "petty or arrogant" especially since I know many none church going people who hit "petty and arrogant" on the nail. Doesn't matter whether you are church going or not..to determine if you are "petty or arrogant"..that comes with the way you were raised and the type of people you associate with.

Sadly that is because most Christians seem to be full of their own self importance, wanting to look good in the eyes of their fellows. Perhaps forgetting that if there is a God then he is certainly going to be seeing their pomposity and the damage it does to Christianity and they will have to pay for it in the final coming. (If their ever is one that is).
Sad to say, they think they hold the moral high ground but all the morals preached in the bible, including the ten commandments were excepted morals long before Christianity was ever thought of.
In modern life atheist and most other religions actually follow far more moral, upright, non-judgemental and accepting lives than Christians.
As someone pointed out here the other day - the most stolen book in the world is the Bible - can't see atheists or other religions doing it can you? They would not dream of it!!!!

You shouldn't hate them.
Studies show that churchgoers are happier, healthier, and wealthier than non-churchgoers.
Why don't you join them and then teach them how to be less petty and arrogant. That would be the more constructive solution.
It would help both them and you.

Perhaps we seem petty and arrogant simply because you hate us.

Hating them won't change them, and wastes more of your time and emotional energy than they're worth.
It's a lot more productive to point out their fallacies and laugh at their twisted logic anyway. They are the humor equivalent of religious slapstick.
