AiW, Even the Jews today in Israel will tell you what streets he walked down! There is plenty of eveidence that he existed! The date and time is based upon his very death as people of old commonly say "A.=after D. = death for 2006 years ago from the crucifiction. I am sorry for you. You can be blessed. Ask Jesus Christ into your heart today and see what happens tomorow!

Evangelical Christians seem to think that no one has heard about this mythical character Jesus. One of the first things you should realize is that people know the story. They just don't buy it. They aren't turning down being a nice kind person. They are turning down completely absurd claims such as a man rose from the dead or a man lived in a whales stomach for three days.
If you want to really promote Jesus. First thing you can do is try to find some contemporary evidence that he actually even existed. Then work on proving that he performed miracles. Then you could promote him on GRAND scales. Otherwise you look the same to us as it would to you for someone to try to convert you to worship the FSM.

Did you even read the link i gave?
And what in the world would what Jews today have to say matter as to the existence of Jesus? I am the one who feels sorry for you, you are old enough to use a computer but still have a boogie man under your bed.
There is no contemporary evidence for Jesus...even Christian Buybull scholars know this! Do some research if you care at all about what is true rather than what you just want to be true.
BTW, I was a Christian (Southern Baptist) for many years until i actually studied the Bible and read it cover to cover. Message me if you would like.

I remember strolling abode as quickly as from church and that i had a question approximately Holy Communion....properly, i do no longer think of you're Catholic, so i will't inform you, yet needless to say, i ought to fairly see the sidewalk for some block and a a million/2. we are all ONE. we are so devastatingly comparable in our non secular needs it rather is a few thing on a value we are in a position to fairly comprehend. to ask somebody to comprehend Jesus till now they're waiting or can comprehend it rather is like taming a porcupine. Be relaxed to comprehend that Jesus watches over rather everyone's needs and does all He can for them. His heart is exceeding delicate and massive.

Just my opinion, as yours may differ.

Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." (Matt.11:28)
A basic meaning of the Hebrew word, sabbath, is "rest". Jesus promised a deep, spiritual rest to all who would come to him for it, when he said, "Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I WILL GIVE YOU REST" (Mt.11:28). Using the tongue of the prophet Isaiah, God foretold of this spiritual rest with these remarkable words: "For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people. To whom he said, THIS IS THE REST, wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear" (Isa. 28:11-12). Approximately 120 men and women were blessed with this heavenly rest when it was first poured out (Acts 2:1-4).

Ask yourself this question: What have God done in your life? Share to others what God has done for you. And let others see Jesus in you, by your actions and your lifestyle. Help others in need. God blesses us to be a blessing to others.
Remember according to the Holy Bible, we are to share our testimonies so God can get the glory. Everything is for God's glory and not ours.
Put pamphlets in your neighbor's mail box. Tell others that Jesus loves them.
But I believe that every effort is Big in God's eyes, its better than doing nothing. Remember Noah found grace in God's eyes.

Just live your life kindly and tolerantly.
If others see that Christianity promotes such positive behaviour they will be more inclined to convert than if you tell then they are going to hell.

I apologize for the lengthiness of the answer I have given here. It is not cut & paste. I typed it all myself. I hope that you will take the time to read this answer in it's entirety, and to consider the scriptures I have listed.
The answer that I am finding to your question lately myself is that Jesus came and set an example for us to follow. Now, most people hear that, and immediately think, "Oh, He wants us to be nice...and to give to the poor...and to love one another..." Yes to all these things, but that's not what I am talking about. Jesus Christ (the anointed One) came to do several things:
Luke 4:14-21 Notice first of all that He was FILLED with the Holy Spirit. He TAUGHT everywhere that He went. Verses 18-19 reveal the aspects of the Messiah (anointed deliverer). This is the main reason He came, to deliver man.
He came to make a way to the Father, and to reveal the Father to us. (John 14:4-12) You will notice in verse 12 He said that the one who believes on Him will do the works that He does, and greater works also. There is no doubt that he is speaking of miracles, signs and wonders here.
To destroy the works of the devil. (Hebrews 2:14, and I John 3:8)
All of these things are breifly comprehended in the Lord's prayer.
"Your Kingdom come (speaking to the Father), your will be done on earth as in heaven." In other words, the Father's Kingdom in heaven has no sickness, disease or death. There is no poverty or lack in heaven. In heaven, God has complete rule, authority and dominion. Jesus was showing us by demonstration how to bring the Kingdom of God to planet earth.
Matthew 4:17 reads this way, "From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent for the kingdom of heaven is at hand." In other words, Jesus was going everywhere saying that the kingdom of heaven is within reach, it can be accessed - "I have it with me."
Romans 14:17 - "For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost."
Read it this way, "the kingdom of God is...in the Holy Ghost."
What does everyone on Yahoo Answers want most concerning Christianity? Proof. They want to know something experientially about God. They want to know Him. Jesus went about showing people the reality of the kingdom with demonstrations of the Spirit of God. Healings, miracles, signs and wonders.
Mark 16:20 - "And they (believers) went out and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them (His Spirit), and confirming the word with signs following."
Why don't more people receive the gospel? Because without proof of a spiritual reality, they view it as fairy tales and well-wishing. The true gospel of Jesus Christ (the gospel of the kingdom) is a message that has power working through it. The church has for a very long time been satisfied to preach the message of salvation without the working of power. So no one takes us very seriously as a result.
Without the Spirit of God working through us in power to reveal His kingdom, all we are left with is coming up with clever ideas to try to do God's work our way. Our human efforts alone do not glorify Him, but Him moving through us to manifest the impossible DOES glorify Him.
Paul said this in I Corinthians 2:4&5, "...my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and power: that your faith might not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God."
I highly recommend the book listed below if you want more information and insight regarding the things I have mentioned here. God bless.

Through living your own life with the happiness that God brings you, and hoping that non-believers will take notice.
Oh, and don't get politically active.
