A small cross on the back of the hand is often seen among mafia members. Personally, I like a much larger cross on my upper arm although the back of the neck looks cool too. I have a freind with a jailhouse tattoo on the back of his skull, THAT hurt but looks excellent as long as he keeps his head shaved.
Before you get a tattoo, talk to your pastor. some christian groups advocate against tattoos. Then, talk to your tattoo artist, so he can explain to you the risks and possible complications of a tattoo. Then check with your significant other, they have to live with it too. and finally you have to understand that a tattoo is PERMANENT. so where ever you put it on your body, make sure that you can cover it if you wish. I have tattoos, and you would not believe the reactions (mostly negative) that you'll get when they see your tattoo on job interviews, bussiness meetings, etc.
Consider this all very carefully before you continue and good luck.

I think on your arm, so people can see it and you can use it as a witness. I think it's a great idea and gives options to great conversation. A lot of christian use the verse from Leviticus, but these people used it for idol worship and that is why God didn't like it.
The website below has also addresses from great christian artists.
They are member of CTA ( christian tattoo association)
Your body is a temple of the holy spirit and decorate it to glorify God.
Since you outer body doesn't count to God, although you have to treat it well.
There are numerous of people going to use excuses, but I can't find the real arguments in the bible, or at least explain them right and understand the real meaning of the passage. It says not to tatto for the death, isn't Jesus alive, so what's the problem.Hope that helps a bit. Good luck.

The Bible commands us not to tattoo are bodies. It is hypocritical to openly disobey God and try to proclaim Him at the same time.
Admit that the tattoo is not for God but for yourself. Put it anywhere you like. Why not pick something beside a cross? If I were you I would put a 666 on your forehead. Seems more fitting.
Having said that, I am sure there will be lots of people who tattoed themselves in heaven. I certainly don't consider it a major sin, though God has commanded that tattoos be avoided. It is like putting graffitti on the temple of God (which we are).

Passage Leviticus 19:28:
28 " 'Do not cut your bodies for the dead or put tattoo marks on yourselves. I am the LORD.
After I posted the above, it got me thinking more... I googled and found the url below. It gives some good food for thought.

Its going to cost about $800 to $1,500, But ..it is for the rest of your life! I feel strongly, that if you are going to make such an important decision, it should be to make it meaningful!
Please consider the cross on your back, from shoulder blade to shoulder blade....From neck to lower back.
It will be a true act of commitment to the lord.
Or you could just do a tiny one between your thumb and forefinger!

were you seriously considering getting a tatoo on your face?
you can get it on your wrist if you want to see it or on your shoulder blade if you dont want to see it all the time...and only get it if you really really really want it because you will regret it after...i can say that from personal experience

Tattooing a cross on yourself is the equivalent of tattooing an electric chair on yourself. They were instruments of governmental execution.

The bible is against marking of the body becauce your body is your Temple..
That includes Ear RINGS, BELLY RINGS, ect
I am guilty of it, but you might want to read the passages in the bible before you do..
