There is a voice within the wind.
A cool and calming feel
It whispers that things soon will change.
That nothing here is real.
It speaks to me of peace and light.
That all is not as it seems.
Telling me to hold fast and tight.
To not give up my dreams.
Autumn is a faithful friend.
He always quells my heart.
He bids me take the time to rest.
And from this precipice start.
I know within my heart
That all will turn to right.
I need only let go of worries,
And Trust He Who is my light

I think it is a beautiful poem and it helped turn a bad day into a good one thank you. I think its about the peace that only God can give you and no matter how bad things are in your life it will get better. Its about hope and faith and I think its about heaven when things of this world is gone and you are at peace.

I think there's a certain vulnerability a person experiences when writing poems. Because a poem for the most part has to come from within. Your thoughts, feelings, and emotions go into making it for everyone to read. Something that is shared. I guess that's why poems have a beauty and power to them. BTW, I think your poems are imaginative and thoughtful. God Bless.

I really like this poem... And many Christians and maybe even many non Christians will recognize the reference to God... Our minister recently started a series of Sermons that is focusing on the Gospel of John and your poem helped remind me of the first few verses of this Gospel in reference to light being of God.....
John Ch 1 verses 1 - 14:
"In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God.
The same was in the beginning with God.
All things were made by him: and without him was not anything made that was made
In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
And the light shineth in the darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
There was a man sent by God, whose name was John.
The same came for a witness to bear witness of the Light that all men through him might believe.
He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.
That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world
He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the the world knew him not.
He came unto his own and his own received him not.
But as many as recieved him to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name
Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God
And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us and we beheld his glory as of the only begotton of the father full of grace and truth...."
Your poem beautifully expresses that your "light" is God and you trust in Him in all circumstances of your life...
Verse 7 in the first chapter of John is what made me think of your reference to Light.... I really like the opening verses of John and the use of Captialization of "Word" and "Light" . In verse one we see the Word was God and in verse 14 we see that the "Word" was "Jesus".... This is the basis of all our hopes in the Christian Faith...That Jesus is God and he loves us......The first few verses in John we also see that Jesus was the one who made everything here on earth as it states, "everything was made by him...." Your poem recognizes very well that Jesus can be found in natures beauty....Since, from the Gospel of John we learn that Jesus Christ made everything on the earth it gives me faith to believe and understand the miracles Jesus performed when he "calmed the sea" and when he "walked on the water"...He had power over the those things because he created those things... : )
There may be some that make fun of your poem and make jests...but we know from verse 5 that "darkness" can not understand or comprehend the light...
Thank you for your poem....God Bless you.
