Yes, I think that is to young. I would wait until she is 14. I did babysit when I was 12, but I look back now and I was way to young and had no idea what I was doing. It depends if your 12 year old is a mature 12 and has been around kids.

yeah when I was 12 I babysat for a 2 year old. HE was sooo cute but a year later he moved :( She should be fine. Make sure she has there number (cell phone) the place that there going, The doctors Number and poisen control. For the first couple times try to be home in case she has any questions. She can also take a red cross course in babysitting so she learns CPR and all that other stuff. Babysitting is fun and she should enjoy it ♥

12 is noticeably youthful, yet as in all situations it relies upon on the guy. some 12-twelve months-olds may be relied on with that kind of ingredient and is additionally very sturdy at it, on a similar time as others won't have the ability to be relied on with it in any respect. in the adventure that your instructor trusts you, and you bypass a babysitting course, then I see no rationalization why you mustn't a minimum of try it some cases and notice if it works.

I don't think 12 is too young to babysit, because I was 10 when I started & my sister has babysat since she was 11...I think it depends on how responsible the babysitter is, then you'll know if she or he is too young.

most laws say 13 and only for a couple of hours, but if she wants to start babysitting maybe you could leave her for about 45 minutes or so

Give her a plastic baby and tell her all the responsibilities and everything, then see if she is responsible. Or if you have a toddler or small kid, dont help her with any responsibilities, tell her what to do, and she has to to take care of hm/her for the whole day--it'll prove to you if she's responsibe or not, BELIEVE ME!
