why do men like smarter, well educated women?

is the survival of the species a factor? i know that smart women really turn me on, as long as they are not rude or boisterous.

Only intelligent men seem to like smart well educated women. I think it is because they don't feel threatened by them, and because they actually have something in common after the sexual madness wears off. No matter how beautiful a woman is, if she's not very bright, it's going to get boring very quickly.
I am not convinced that there is actually an instinct called "the survival of the species". People are programmed to spread their own genes throughout the population though. Hopefully, smarter women will produce bright children too.

They do?? My experience is they're intimidated by a woman with a brain, it seems to me they prefer the damsel in distress who is coy and wants to play the game. I truly appreciate a man who doesn't think twice about speaking to me, when they're afraid I just do not have the time to put his mind at ease. I'd rather have a real conversation with someone who can keep up. Not that I'm a genius or anything but I have at least half my wits about me and feel I can speak to this issue. Men also seem to have the same fear of beauty in a lot of cases.

Remember the song, "If you want to be happy for the rest of your life never make a pretty woman your wife. From my personal point of view get an ugly girl to marry you."

If your not a dumb a s s, men like good conversation in beween the hot stimulating stuff. After sex, you need to get alittle deeper if the relationship is to be interesting. Your on to something with the boisterous comment. Its hard to find an intelligent woman , thats into her sexuality and not arrogant and rude. They are there ,but the pickings are slim.

I think intelligence should be mutual, being more or less intelligent than your partner can be a HUGE problem in my opinion. The smarter of the two would always have to answer seemingly stupid or childish questions that seem to be common knowledge.
It depends on whether or not the smarter partner wants to make themselves feel smart or have someone capable of answering questions to feel more secure. For me - I'd like someone of the same intelligence, because it would have to make me feel insecure that I was "not smart".

men like women who are quiet but strong and intelligent. most men really do not care about looks at all, because in the end we are all going to get old and ugly anyway. but intelligence is much more enduring and is a much better quality when considering a mate for marriage and life after the mid 20s.
