NO "WONDERS", no mystery exist there. During the last 30 years NANO became real SCIENCE and TECHNOLOGY.
An "organized knowledge"(Kant).

If "wonder" means the state of your curiosity and level of knowledge, take my opinion:

The greatest impact is to be expected from:
ComputerTechnology (NanoComputing) and
NanoBioTechnology (bringing NanoTech in Life).
Reason: "size matters" most critically just in these fields.

Two of my favorite recent hits:

- the first complete electronic IC around a single carbon nanotube molecule, IBM, march 2006

- free-running artificial molecular machines, Oxford, Biophys J.,July 2006

Good luck.

I think the latest development in nano automation is pretty cool. Skivvy-bots. About the size of a molecule of cotton, they are enfused in today's underwear and automatically destroy and digest skid marks. I hear there is a new version coming out that does the same thing with odor. I think it's called the flatulence-bot.
