Oh man, there's certainly no exact science to french toast. When I'm in a hurry I break out a can of egg nogg and soak my white bread in it (yeah I'm a sicko - I keep cans of egg nogg all year long).
But with what you've got at home, first make an egg wash with approx. a cup of milk and an egg. Just add the edd to the milk and mix it all up with a for k (or whisk).
Let your bread slices soak for a about 15 seconds on each side and then put it in a pan heated with a little butter. When its brown on one side flip it and brown the other. When it comes out, put some of those bananas chopped on it and sprinkle with some powdered sugar (if you have it). And you're going to need some kind of syrup - pankcake, maple, heck use microwaved jelly, jam, or marmalade if you have to.
Enjoy your French Toast!

You use any kind of bread you want. Stale french bread is traditionally used but any stale bread works great, too.
You mix up a couple of eggs with a bit of milk, add a pinch or two of sugar, a dash of vanilla and salt and I always add some cinnamon, too. Dip bread into the mixture. If the bread is fresh dip it quick because it will start to fall apart pretty fast. Then lay the battered bread onto a hot skillet that is either non stick or has been oiled (spray with Pam or some such coating). Brown on both sides and serve hot with butter and syrup.
Yummers! I usually do up an entire loaf of bread (takes nearly a dozen eggs) and then freeze the toast after cooking so that my kids can pull them out to to microwave and eat before school. They freeze very well in ziplock type freezer bags.
Good luck and Goddess Bless!

Any kind of bread that you like. But the Texas toast is good. Beat eggs and a little milk in a bowl. Soak your bread slices in egg mixture, flip to coat both sides. Then heat your pan. Brown toast on both side. Then sprinkle with cinnamon and powdered sugar and maple syrup if you like.

Take your favorite sliced bread (white, wheat or whole grain)
In a shallow bowl, break several eggs
Beat the eggs well
Add some milk, some sugar and some vanilla extract
Stir everything together well
Dip each side of each slice of bread in the egg mixture
On a flat skillet or pancake pan, oil well, heat and brown the egg-dipped bread slices.
Serve with butter and your favorite syrup or jelly or jam.

Take 3-4 eggs and beat them with some milk (1/4 cup) and vanilla. You can also add some sugar and cinnamon. Pour the mixture into a plate and dip thick slices of white bread (stale works better - it holds together)until they soak up the mixture. Lay bread into a hot buttered frying pan and cook until brown.

You can use white bread or texas toast. In a bowl mix your eggs and milk like you were going to make scrambled eggs. Salt and pepper as you like. Use a frying pan. Butter the pan. Dip the bread in the eggs and put it in the pan. When it is brown on one side flip it and cook the other side. It is so simple. Their may be other variations, but that is how I do it.

You can use pretty much any bread you have. Thicker bread is probably nicer but I've used just plain ole bag bread from the grocery. You just whisk up some eggs and add a bit of milk or water. I like to put in some cinnamon or nutmeg, then you dip the bread in the eggs and cook them in a hot pan or griddle, just like pancakes. Pretty easy. There are more advanced recipes but this is good too.
