sounds like she has a resp. infection... you need to take her to the vet... and yes cats get colds! They can get a number of them... they can also get other things like FIV(which is just like our HIV) and Feline Lukemia.... etc.. So I'd take her to the vet and have them check her out she might just need an antibotic

Cats get viral flus just as people do and antibiotics won't help with them. Vets give antibiotic to forestall the possibility of a secondary bacterial pneumonia developing.
There is really nothing you can or should do (no human meds EVER) and you must watch the cat carefully. If she is not eating, has diarrhea, has trouble breathing, etc. then she needs a vet's help. And that might mean an emergency vet this weekend.

Feline herpesvirus 1 (FHV1), also known as feline rhinotracheitis, affects cats around the world. It manifests as respiratory symptoms, including sneezing, nasal discharge, rhinitis (inflammation of the nose) and conjunctivitis (inflammation of the eyelid-lining membrane). It can also affect the reproductive tract, causing pregnancy complications. Feline herpesvirus 1 is part of the feline upper respiratory infection complex—viral and bacterial infections resulting in sneezing and discharge from the eyes and nose. Of this group of infections, FHV 1 is the most common.
Take her to the vet and she needs a vaccination.

Take her to the vet immediately. I naively thought my kitten had a cold when she had a snotty nose and sneezing, and she was dead within 48 hours from the cat flu.

cats do get "colds", when they are sick, take them to the vet. They can make sure it's not serious and give your cat medication if needed.
